How to measure: stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe, and measure heel to mark in centimetres. Measure at the end of the day, when your feet are largest.
Men and women use different scales. For the same shoe most brands set the number for women about 1.5 above the number for men — adidas uses 1, Converse and Crocs 2. That is why this guide shows one table per scale instead of a single combined row.
